Video/Storyboard Concept

Idea: "This is My AgGateway"

  • Create (need member volunteers) "This is my AgGateway." Have people fill out a form, tell the story of what AgGateway is to them - one-liners for blurbs in the newsletter, blurbs on social media. Jeremy W Wilson: "It provides tools for me to improve and bring data interoperability."

Video/Storyboard Concept Discussion

  • The group reviewed the two concept documents and discussed that Meri is looking into tools to create graphic videos (30 to 60 seconds each)
  • Need broader group to review content and readability: what's missing? what didn't click or seem to fit? what's not quite right or isn't needed?
    • Susan Ruland (Unlicensed) will send a note to communications groups to get feedback (brief and focused). Will ask to receive input by next week.

"This is my AgGateway" Discussion

  • Update Susan's testimonial sheet and add a short 'my AgGateway' statement starter/prompt
  • Identify a few long-time volunteers from different sectors to give a single sentence answer to the prompt
  • Use in social media, as a sidebar quote in newsletters, etc.


Video/Storyboard Concept Context (8/11/20 Email from Susan Ruland)

I’ve been giving thought to our discussions related to infographics/graphic videos to help explain AgGateway’s value. Attached are two concepts to discuss on an upcoming Materials Subcommittee call, as well as the September Communications Committee call.

Description:

  • I’ve attached two concepts – one for business processes, the other for interoperability.
  • Each is less than a page long – the idea is that each video would last less than a minute.
  • These provide a very high-level perspective of what AgGateway does and how it provides value.
  • Our web/graphic designer Meri Kotlas is looking at storyboarding these so we can create graphic videos of each.
  • We could either run the copy over the video, or provide narration.
  • These don’t address the idea of a “roadmap” of how to use AgGateway resources geared to a particular user (say, how someone interested in ADAPT would apply it). That would be a separate project.
