Description of session: AgGateway is an agricultural business consortium of more than 200 member organizations, including equipment manufacturers, farmer cooperatives, software vendors, and manufacturers. For the last 5 years AgGateway has conducted several proof-of-concepts ranging from equipment level data capture, IoT for augers and moisture readings, and most recently Bluetooth Low Energy beacons and smart edge devices on the Raspberry Pi3 and Arduino to help publish ‘TransferEvents’ to a Cloud IoT platform. Blockchain has also been evaluated for its applicability. This presentation will recap the efforts to date, enhancements to existing standards, and the future roadmap. This is co-presented by Dr. Joe Tevis of Vis Consulting and Scott Nieman of Land O’Lakes. | |
