  • Jody thought I was going to be able to keep up with just the social piece, but "it’s probably better for the organization if I step off completely."  J. Nolfo pulled her off the future weeks (11/6/17 and 12/18/17).  These weeks are currently unscheduled.

  • Susan will do PR on new board and reference/link to Annual Report
  • Susan wants feedback on the Annual Report, and suggestions for improving it.
    • J asked that each Council Liaison solicit feedback on the Annual Report

Guidelines development for Social Media Task Force / J. Nolfo

Develop rules guidelines and standards for each primary platform AgGateway uses

  • Determine interest for newer members joining task force
  • Establish cadence/frequency in talking online in Various channels

J covered the Social Media Calendar through 12/11 and who was responsible for posting

Brainstorming Session: How can  we expand the membership of the Communications Committee? / J. Nolfo
  • Susan: remind councils if they have someone who does marketing or communications,
  • Let new members understand the level of commitment in terms of work/time. New members may question this.
  • Job descriptions are on the Wiki for council chairs, vice chairs, committee members, etc.
  • What would be helpful? What skills do we need at the table?
    • Social media interest and skills? – this is a working group that is a sub-segment of the committee. One hour per month commitment
    • Clarify roles and responsibilities during next month’s meeting
    • Newsletter volunteers: Writing content in general, comfortable interviewing people, coordinating ability. Not for every month, maybe every 2-3 months. Can be based on committees and councils they already sit on. Usually only 4-5 paragraphs
    • How do we leverage members to get their marketing people here?
    • How much visibility internally does AgGateway get in member companies to generate more interest in participation?

  • Matt: More Leadership Member Spotlights – liaisons can ask about who to spotlight in different councils. Focus on more of the strategy
  • Different set of questions than new member
  • Possibly include a summary of what each council worked on during the Annual Meeting
