geometric standard deviation
Standard deviation of a lognormal distribution. Geometric standard deviation (GSD) is the ratio of the particle sizes corresponding to mass fractions of 84.1% and 50% (d84.1/d50), 50% and 15.9% (d50/d15.9), or the square root of 84.1% and 15.9% ( sqrt(d50/d15.9) ). GSD has no unit and must always be greater than or equal to 1.0.
