GIS boundary

Geographic Information System (GIS) is an information system for capturing, storing, analyzing, managing and presenting data which is spatially referenced (linked to location). GIS boundaries utilize GPS coordinates on the boundary line and appropriate “X” and “Y” centroids. Boundary data typically represented as vector polygon information in a GIS. This data is obtained either by GPS or digitized from existing data such as a geo-referenced map or image.
