Project Overview
Seed and crop-protection products in North America frequently flow through unauthorized channels. The Channel Integrity Project is conceived as a solution to help the industry restore supply-chain integrity. The first phase is to execute a proof-of-value (POV) exercise. As of Jun 24, 2019 , Land O’Lakes and BASF have committed funds to bootstrap the effort. This project would likely use blockchain with a vendor-provided solution. Substantial costs are estimated for later phases: 2) pilot, and 3) operational. Consequently, it may take a few months to secure funding for phases 2 and 3. This project charter addresses phase 1 (POV) only.

Deliverables
Value assessment (Answer with justification the question: Was value proven?)
Recommendation to conduct a pilot or not to conduct a pilot
If pilot is recommended, pilot project plan, including contract development with vendor(s) (e.g., Chronicled)
Process models
Information requirements (e.g., what data is stored on the blockchain, including schema and syntax)
Serialization analysis (Is value-creation possible without serialized products? If so, would more value be created by having serialized products?)
Business rules (e.g., smart contract requirements)
Integration types required for a pilot (e.g., SAP, SSI)
Identifier and identification system requirements (e.g., AGIIS use/changes)
Participants (Companies)
Land O'Lakes
Nutrien
BASF
Bayer
