Key Discussion Items

Communications Sub-Committee Pending Materials Development List

  • Timescopes Implementation Note
    • Syngenta interns working on?
    • Any items this group should discuss?
  • "Guide to business and developer information/tools" (where to find, what's available, etc.)
  • ADAPT website - suggestions for news items (one per month)
    • Introduced to ADAPT teams ('assignments')? Jessica Trites Rolle will jump on next call if this group prefers Jess introduce this.
  • ADAPT article - Susan, still need content?
  • Virtual MYM

Key item: Infographics - Continue Discussion from 4/30 call (see below for 4/30 call notes)

Start with (separate documents)...

  • "What AgGateway is/does (vs what it is NOT/does NOT do)"
    • Allow members to have short, clear discussion with others in their organization
    • Allow members/staff to talk with prospective members
  • "What ADAPT is/is not"

Reviewed 4/30 - concepts to build from:

Brain dump:

  • What is AgGateway? Who is part of the organization? What work is happening now, and what's already done? How do you use the tools?
  • C-suite/Exec versus technical/detailed versus farmers
  • Different industry area (rail, grain, equipment, irrigation, etc.) means different focus
  • meet the person where they are!
  • tailor focus to what a prospective or current member is trying to fix/solve/accomplish
  • Create suite of views members can pull from:
    • general
    • irrigation - PAIL proposition value canvases (borrow from that work)
    • soils (also has proposition value canvases
    • crop protection/seed company view
    • FMIS view
    • Create a new sub-set of documents and graphics as another entry into the Communications Toolkit, with 'chunks' of content and stories/narratives (with graphics) that can be tailored to specific audiences. AgGateway messaging, agreed-to AgGateway words/charts/pics, but separate components a member or presenter could choose from. A use-what's-preset or build-your-own approach.

Syngenta interns starting work on ADAPT documentation R. Andres Ferreyra (Unlicensed) started with DANIEL DANFORD

Jessica Trites Rolle will re-join ADAPT calls to glean communications and newsletter content

ADAPT 'blurbs' - Jim suggested the Syngenta interns write down all questions they have and can use those to identify items that need to be new FAQs, new implementation notes, etc. The 'blurb' could be a FAQ every week, every month, to give a 'how to.' Add anchor to page, Tweet it out!

MYM moved to July (virtual). Will try to keep it similar to normal MYM. Still working through how to administer, then will put out registration. If have topics for session(s), share with Brent.

Soils/Lab: have two surveys to consolidate into a single survey for distribution to labs and software companies. Need help getting this finalized and out. Questions will be specific about formats used to communicate between labs and software companies. Next technical meeting 6/4, next business meeting week of 6/9. R. Andres Ferreyra (Unlicensed) said he can build survey in SurveyMonkey. Jessica Trites Rolle will review questions once compiled.
