managing general agent

An entity that meets the definition of managing general agent under the laws of the State in which such entity is incorporated and in every other State in which it operates, or in the absence of such State law or regulation, meets the definition of a managing general agent or agency in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Managing General Agents Act, or successor Act.
