crop coefficient

Coefficient used to modify reference evapotranspiration to reflect the water use of a particular plant or group of plants particularly with reference to the plant species. Ratio of the actual crop evapotranspiration to its potential (or reference) evapotranspiration; (Kc) – (water management) a variable used to calculate the evapotranspiration of a plant crop based on that of a reference crop.
