One of the annual maintenance processes, deactivate orphans consists of identifying entities that are not in a subscriber's E-Business Identification Code (EBID) or Global Location Number (GLN) subset and inactivating them. This process is designed to keep the Master Directory as up-to-date as possible by identifying "stale" data and inactivating it.
