Chemical Industry Data Exchange

Chemical Industry Data Exchange

CIDX or Chemical Industry Data Exchange was established in the 1990s to develop EDI guidelines for the chemical industry. In 2000 CIDX launched a major project to develop XML standards for the global chemical industry known as Chem eStandards, which it mostly completed with the release of version 4 in May 2004. In 2009, in the interest of promoting cross-industry standards, the chemical industry transfer CIDX assets - including standards - to OAGi and shut down the organization.
