Preconditions

- Product is defined in the master inventory list.
- Warehouse management system is in place (not necessarily including auto-ID equipment).
- Received advanced ship notice (ASN or ESN).
- Product is in the vicinity of the warehouse.

- Only products in acceptable condition have been received.
- Correct product, quantity, and lot number (where applicable) has been accurately recorded in the WMS.
- The product was delivered (received by) the correct location.
- All applicable stakeholders have been notified of receipt.
Trigger
The first step.
Main Success Scenario
- The vehicle operator makes an unload request and presents BOL to warehouse staff.
- Warehouse staff reviews BOL.
- Warehouse staff informs vehicle operator of unload location.
- Warehouse staff weighs bulk product (if applicable).
- Vehicle operator moves vehicle to unload location.
- Move the product from the truck to the inspection/staging area.

- Warehouse staff signs off on bill of lading.
- Warehouse staff notes lot numbers or serial numbers (if applicable).
