Business Purpose
This document provides information and guidelines around seed product data in the Ag Industry Identification System (AGIIS) directory in order to have more consistency in the way the seed products are loaded and maintained in AGIIS. The following help:
- Clarify the definition of the fields used and needed for seed products
- Understand what codes seed manufacturers are using, in certain key fields.
- Provide an example for a product load and product extract.
Background
The Seed Council recognized that there was very little documentation as to how to implement and load the products (specially the seed products) in AGIIS. Because of the lack of guidelines, the Council feels that the previously loaded data is inconsistent and difficult for those wanting to utilize that data. AGIIS has provided the electronic capability to upload and download Seed products in the AGIIS product directory.
