standard dimension ratio

Dimension ratio is defined as the ratio of the diameter of a pipe to its wall thickness. Outside diameter is used for OD rated pipe while ID is used for ID rated pipe. Certain dimension ratios have been selected by convention and standards to be used for construction of pipe. These dimension ratios are referred to as standard dimension ratios.
