nonuniform flow

Flow in which the average cross-sectional velocity is not the same at successive channel cross sections. If the velocity at a given cross section is constant with time, it is referred to a steady nonuniform flow. If the velocity changes with time at each cross section, it is known as unsteady nonuniform flow.
