Insurance Unit

A crop insurance unit is the aggregation of one to many acres into a specific structure that is identified as a basic, optional, or enterprise unit. A crop insurance unit is identified by a specific numbering system developed and administered by the Risk Management Agency (RMA), which is specifically used to accurately and consistently identify aggregated acreage for the purpose of insurance.
