odor unit (European)

The amount of a mixture of odorants present in one cubic meter of odorous gas under standard conditions at the panel threshold. Note that there is no physical representation or theoretical derivation of this unit; it is used out of convenience to calculate emission rate when used with airflow rate or air exchange.
