clearcut harvest

A harvest and regeneration technique removing all the trees (regardless of size) on an area. Clear-cutting is commonly used with shade-intolerant species such as Douglas fir or lodgepole pine, which require full sunlight to reproduce and grow well. Clearcutting produces an even-aged stand of trees.
