An operation, in raising crops (not applicable to animals) are certain activities, performed by man and/or machine, that are performed on crops growing on/in a field; or on batches of product; or stored crop. Such activity, with an agronomical purpose, that is performed on a certain object, such as a field or batch, is performed in a certain time frame. An operation performs a particular Operation Technique on a particular crop field, activity field, crop production unit or batch to realize a certain Cultural Practice. Operations are region, farm, crop, season, and time specific. Operations are executed by tasks; one task can perform 2 or more operations, one operation can be executed by 2 or more tasks. The act or process of functioning; the process of practical or mechanical form of work or production.
