PAC New Member On-boarding Process: Welcome Letter, Presentation, and Tracking Log

NOTE: Replace Shannon Haringx in the above chain of events with "PAC Communications Chair."


Project Leader / Product Owner Does:
  • Maintain a list of tasks within each product (kanban board) that need resources to engage and assign one or more tasks to the newcomer to ensure continued involvement
  • Assign a mentor to periodically touch base with newcomer to ensure they are continuing engagement and have an understanding of what is going on with respective activities


Project Leader / Scrum Master Does:
  • Ensure newcomer is included in conference calls
  • Each product team maintains a list of members on home page - be sure newcomer is added
  • Get newcomer added to respective mailing lists


Project Leader / PAC Communications Chair Does:
  • Provide a general "welcome to AgGateway Precision Ag Council" email  with a personalized copy (PDF before sending) of the New Member Welcome Letter.
    • Ask the new member for their key interests and what time they would like to set up a call to talk about the PAC and their specific company/organization needs and interests.
    • If they reply that they want to discuss, contact to set up session with appropriate AgGateway subject matter experts and connect them with the determined mentor (if wanted/needed).
  • In the welcome email, attach a copy of the latest welcome letter and reference that letter in the welcome email body.
  • Forward all upcoming Precision Ag Council monthly or bi-monthly conference call meeting invitations, as well as meeting invitations for specific working groups or committees of interest.
