Need and Scope:
Observation is that systems and processes for this line of business are antiquated
Some base standards of identification and message exchange do exist
NACS - National Association of Convenience Stores - product codes
X12 EDI 200-series messages for data exchange in distribution
Likely other codes and messages in use for regulatory touch points
Products:
Refined fuels - many different vendors but "commodity" level product set
Oil & Lube - seed-scale SKU set
Identification at the packaged product level only with lots of proprietary codes embedded in current barcoding
Randy advertised for the Crop Protection Identification session on Wednesday morning.

Invoicing
meter readings and tank locations
loads and receiving
tank maintenance
Quantity of transactions - more than seed, consistency throughout the year
