furrow dike

Small earth dike formed in a furrow to prevent water translocation. Typically used with Low Energy Precision Application (LEPA) and low pressure in canopy (LPIC) systems. Also used in non-irrigated fields to capture and infiltrate precipitation. Sometimes called reservoir tillage.
