Major pull requests handling
Following the release of version 2, ADAPT's policy is that changes requiring a major version change may not be merged in the next major version but must be merged in the major version after that (major+1). Additionally, any elements which will be removed as part of this major version change must be marked as deprecated for one major version. This provides users with sufficient time to know about changes and fully prepare for the change.
